Design Story

Habitat destruction is the process by which a natural habitat becomes incapable of supporting its native species. Habitat destruction by human activity is mainly for the purpose of harvesting natural resources for industrial production and urbanization. The birds in this design are free in the sense that they're still living in their natural habitat, but caged in the sense that they're homes are under imminent threat. When a habitat is destroyed, the plants, animals, and other organisms that occupied the habitat have a reduced carrying capacity so that populations decline and extinction becomes more likely.
